The Class

Royalty Labels

Every Finn carries official class identification: a World Sailing plaque on the hull, and sail and mast labels that prove the royalty has been paid. Each is issued only through the channels below.

World Sailing Plaques

Each new Finn requires a World Sailing plaque. These can only be obtained through World Sailing. Replacement plaques, for when the original has been lost, are also obtained through World Sailing at a reduced cost.

These shall only be purchased by the sail maker or mast builder through the IFA Office.

How to Order

Owners order their World Sailing plaque directly from World Sailing. Sail and mast labels come through the manufacturer: the sail maker buys sail labels and the mast builder buys mast labels from the IFA Office, and the cost is included in the equipment.

Please contact the Executive Director for further details and an invoice. Prices are per label and are set by the International Finn Association.

Sailors cannot buy sail or mast labels themselves. If you need a new label, speak to your sail maker or mast builder.
